Simple maths game to reinforce the link between the number symbol and it's value (numbers 1-10). Also works as a playful fine motor activity. Children can match the pattern in the apple set using playdoh. Discuss maths language, small, smaller, smallest etc. Perfect for independent maths stations.
This product works best colour printed in A4 or A3 and laminated.
Using play-doh have the children roll a snake and fill the number. Identify the amount by touch counting the corresponding set of apples.
Using tweezers & buttons/pom poms/play-doh balls fill the ten frame with the matching set.
Have the children make the corresponding amount of apples for the tree. As an advanced task children can match the size pattern of apples to the set shown in the picture.
